To those who 'call the shots' and make life changing decisions.

When someone spends a day, or a week, or two weeks working on an application or submission; whether for a job, a commission or a grant, please do not send an email saying "sorry you were not sucessful in this instance" to unsucessful candidates.

To even have a one minute call to address one or two areas that could be improved shows that you did actually recieve and understand my application/submission/proposal and that your company may be worth consideration in the future. It may also make the difference between whether or not any future applications are made and how sucessful said applications may be.

To simply send a standard cut and paste response devalues the time and effort spent applying and ensures that future applications will likely be of a similarly (unsucessful) standard or not at all considered.

Greetings fellow people of the Earth. Firstly a massive thank you for all the support and kind words I have received here! The response has been amazing and I love being a part of such a vibrant and creative community. During the past year I have produced two animated movies and have had very little time for anything else. It has been a productive year for me as an artist and I feel I have created some of my best works but I look forward to wholly dedicating my creative energies to my musical and artistic endeavours and getting back into the wider world (i.e. I'm not planning any more movies in the forseeable future!).

In October 2010 I was comissioned by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council to create a 30 minute animated movie to be projected as a public art installation at the newly built Noosa Junction station. The resulting work 'Worlds Within Worlds: Noosa' is a 30 minute journey through a series of portals into natural landscapes and into 3d fractal animations accompanied by a soundscape composed of natural sounds and minimalist guitar pieces. Following the production of Worlds Within Worlds: Noosa I was left with enough spare footage and creative momentum to immediately begin the production of what has become Worlds Within Worlds: Tanawha.

Worlds Within Worlds: Tanawha is a 45 minute audio-visual exploration of space, time, dimensionality, geometry, and biodiversity. The film thematically evokes the look and feel of Tanawha in Queensland Australia (where I live) through natural, futuristic and 3d fractal animations. The narrativeless story portrays the encroaching development that is catylysing its transformation from a bushland oasis to a medium density urbanised area. The film features accoustic, electronic and classical music that I have created over the past couple of years and I have been granted special permission to use the music of Go Murri Umbi a local indigenous dance troupe.

WWW:T is scheduled for release in early 2012. Watch this space for more information.
